Dippy egg with cucumber sticks
- Serves: 1
- Prep: 5 mins
- Cook: 6 mins
Ring the changes to the traditional egg and toast soldiers, by letting baby dip cucumber fingers into a dippy egg. The egg provides high quality protein, important vitamins such as vitamin D, minerals including iodine and omega-3 fats.
Suitable from six months.
Ingredients
- 1 British Lion egg
- A few small sticks of cucumber
Method
- Peel the cucumber and quarter lengthways. Set aside.
- Bring a pan of water to the boil and lower in the egg. Simmer for 6 minutes then drain, rinse under cold water and leave to cool a little.
- Place the egg in an egg cup and remove the top of the egg before dunking the cucumber sticks and spooning out the egg. Alternatively, peel the egg and chop into a bowl.
