KS2 egg and cheese quesadilla
A home-cooking and Design & Technology activity making a savoury egg, vegetable and cheese quesadilla. Children weigh and prepare the ingredients, crack and whisk an egg, grate cheese and prepare carrot, courgette and pepper, then combine the filling and fold it into a tortilla. An adult fries the quesadilla for two to three minutes on each side until the cheese melts, before it is cut into triangles to share. The activity builds accurate weighing and measuring alongside practical skills (cracking, spreading, folding and cutting safely) and prompts discussion of hygiene and healthy eating. The pack includes child recipe cards, a home-cooking guide and a teacher guide scaled for a class of 30 (groups of 5), using British Lion eggs.
