A playful snack where children decorate a bread roll to make a face. An adult boils and prepares the eggs in advance (a few slices reserved for eyes, the rest chopped). Children mix the chopped egg with mayonnaise until creamy, spread it over a bread roll, place egg slices on top as eyes, then arrange vegetables to make a nose, mouth, ears and eyebrows, with cress or lettuce for hair. The activity develops fine motor skills (spreading, mixing and placing) and creativity, while teaching that eggs and vegetables are good for the body. The pack includes child recipe cards, a home-cooking guide and a teacher guide scaled for a class of 30 (groups of 5), using British Lion eggs.
