A classic soft-boiled egg served with buttered toast strips, framed as a simple healthy breakfast or lunch. An adult boils the egg for four to five minutes, while children toast and butter the bread and cut it into long strips called "soldiers". Children then peel the top of the egg and dip the soldiers into the soft yolk. The activity teaches following instructions and safe practical skills (toasting, buttering and cutting), with adults handling boiling water, toasters and knives. The pack includes child recipe cards, a home-cooking guide and a teacher guide scaled for a class of 30 (groups of 5), using British Lion eggs.
