The great egg debate

An English speaking and listening lesson built around forming and sharing opinions. Pupils learn the difference between an opinion and a fact, then build an opinion together using a clear reason to support it. Working in pairs, they discuss an egg picture, note what they like and why, and present their views to the class. The lesson emphasises respectful debate: children listen to others, support one another and learn to disagree politely while explaining their reasons, then reflect on whether their own opinion has changed.
