Influencer encourages followers to sign petition against imported eggs in egg products

Family content creator @josie_jjl has been encouraging her 41k followers to sign a petition calling on retailers to commit to using British Lion eggs for own label foods that are produced in Britain.

Many consumers aren't aware that a lot of pre-prepared food, such as quiche and egg sandwiches, still use imported eggs. Morrisons is the only retailer that shows the British Lion mark on their quiche packaging, reassuring customers that the eggs used have been produced to the highest food safety standards.
