Air fryer poached eggs

Air fryer poached eggs

Using an air fryer to poach eggs can be a good alternative to the traditional stovetop method. When learning how to poach an egg in an air fryer, consistency is key in achieving well-executed poached eggs. Air fryers circulate hot air uniformly within the chamber, ensuring even and controlled cooking. This consistent temperature eliminates guesswork and prevents unevenly cooked whites or overcooked yolks - common pitfalls associated with water-based methods.

Ingredients

  • 2 British Lion eggs

Method

  1. Add 2 tbsp of water to lightly buttered ramekins
  2. Boil the water in an air fryer at 200c for 4 minutes
  3. Crack a British Lion egg into each ramekin, and place back in the air fryer at 180c for 6 minutes
